Hadley had contacted me via phone & email a couple weeks ago. After playing phone tag & exchanging a few emails, we set a date to shoot and she described to me what she looked like.
It just so happened that I attended the Eliot Street Collective Grand Opening Party a couple days after our last email and saw a woman there who immediately grabbed my attention. Something about her drew me to her and I wanted to look at her… a lot.
My name had been mentioned to the audience because I was showing art that night (also it was pretty obvious who the resident photographer was…I had my Nikon in front my face 75% of the night). While the performances went on at the Party, one of the Contact Improv members pointed out Hadley in the audience. Immediately I made eye contact with her – she waved at me from across the room and smiled. I was so astounded that this was Hadley! …small world…
