2011 was incredible – thank you!

It was such a joy to revisit all my portrait sessions from 2011. It took me about a week to gather a folder of my favorite images from each shoot…and it was so hard to choose just ONE portrait for each. Looking back I am so grateful:

Grateful to have met every one of my amazing clients
Grateful to have grown though my experience with each client
Grateful to cultivate creativity
Grateful to have my passion be such a large part of my life
Grateful to share art with others

Maternity Portraits with Dedra & Joe

Dedra & I lived in Kittridge West together during our first year at CU Boulder together. Joe also lived in our dorm but we never crossed paths…even with all our trips to the Hard Drive Cafe for free pop

D & Joe met in their senior year and now have a beautiful life together. They invited me to their sweet home to capture some portraits of baby-to-be during this amazing time of their lives.

It’s so exciting to think that in a few short weeks their family will grow by one. I can’t wait to meet this little angel!

Baby Arden has arrived!

For the 3 weeks prior to Arden’s birth I was anxiously awaiting any phone call saying “She’s going into labor…it’s time for you to come over”. I was incredibly honored that I had been invited by Arden’s family to photograph her birth.

On the morning of May 18th I received a cool, calm & collected phone call from her Dad saying “we think it’s time, this would be a good time for you to head over” I sprung out of bed, grabbed my camera bag and cruised up to their home. The birthing pool was set up and mom-to-be was patiently wading in the water while taking deep breaths. Arden’s birth was quick and actually quite calm (all to my surprise).

Thank you Arden & family for having me at this miraculous event – my life has been changed forever. I’m so grateful to be a part of your lives! xoxo

Maternity Portraits: Katy, Issac & Baby Moo

The Mooberry’s came over a couple weeks ago to show off Katy’s beautiful belly for my camera. I kept commenting on how wonderful it was to see Katy so energetic & smiley this close to her delivery date. She & Issac are both chiropractors - this is what Katy attributes her bubbliness to!

Baby Moo (what a cute nickname!) will be welcomed by this fun and very loving Mom & Dad Congrats Katy & Issac! I can’t wait to meet Baby Moo after he/she arrives!

Maternity Portraits: Beautiful Belly

This shoot was a very special shoot for my client – it was a breakthrough moment in her life. She shared with me that deep down she has always had a curiosity to capture her naked body while she was pregnant. When she shared this curiosity with her closest girlfriends they each encouraged her to do it! So they gifted a Maternity Session with me to their pregnant friend.

Our shoot was more than just me releasing the shutter and her posing for me. This was a collection of moments where she could satisfy a personal goal and grow as a woman.

I am very honored & greatful that she let me share these few shots from our personal shoot. Thank you Beautiful Belly!

A miracle before my eyes: Hayden’s Birth

When I casually shared with my best friend how much I would love to see a live birth I never expected to have her come back to me with “My big sister would love to invite you to be in the delivery room when Hayden is born”. WHAT?!?! I was so flippin’ excited!

For the past week I’ve been sharing with everyone how much I’m looking forward to being there when Hayden comes into the world. Alicia & Jason were so generous and made one of my dreams come true by having me document this miraculous event.

It started on Wednesday night with a phone call saying “We think she’s going into labor” ”I’ll be right there!” My camera was prepped and ready to shoot in the super dim light of her delivery room. Only 5 hours after arriving at the hospital little Hayden was delivered and greeted with big smiles, tears, and so much love.

Thank you Thank you Thank you Gordon Family for having me – I know these photos will let you cherish this amazing morning forever.

Maternity & Family Portraits: Natalie

When Natalie first came to the studio earlier this year with her husband and her darling little boy she was only a couple months pregnant…Well here we are 6 months later and she’s grown into a glowing expecting mother It was wonderful to have the Williams family back at my studio – little Colten mesmerized my lens with his big brown eyes just like during our first shoot. Just wait until little baby comes into this world – I can only imagine how much fun we’ll have at our next shoot!

Maternity Portraits: Lulu

This is Lulu with a baby in her belly. Lulu & I grew up together starting in middle school when I played the Mad Hatter & she played Tweedle Dum in our production of Alice in Wonderland. It’s so crazy for me to comprehend that she is about to have her first baby. Weren’t we just having sleepovers & complaining about math homework?

I am so excited to be an auntie to this little angel when she arrives in a couple months. I love you Lulu!

I guess this little guy could be considered Lulu’s first baby…Tabor is very excited to meet the new addition to the family!

I was introduced to Neil a couple years ago when Qi Downtown opened. He is a personal trainer at my gym & just a few weeks ago became a daddy! The whole family came along to be with Baby Lila (or Daisy as they have so sweety nicknamed her) for her newborn portraits.
