It was wonderful to stay at the MGM so we didn’t have to worry about commuting.  However, there was no lack of walking…I learned after the first day to wear my comfy shoes.  The trade show was MASSIVE and marching through the casino to the other side of the building was a great way to conjure up excitement for all the new Photo Products/Services I was going to learn about.

We opted to upgrade our room so we had a jacuzzi tub!  I was so happy – Ryan documented it with is camera :)

We also had an UBER COMFORTABLE king size bed so naturally we had to play, fly & jump on it…

On Tuesday morning, we went to see Cherie Steinberg Cote speak at the Nikon booth.  Cherie was my mentor 10 years ago and I shot my first wedding with her!  She moved to Beverly Hills about 6 years ago and is now one of Nikon’s favorite shooters!

While wondering wide-eyed through the Trade Show on Tuesday, I heard “Kellie!” from across the aisle.  It was Joceybella & Amy Squires from Wedding  Chicks!  It was so great to finally meet these two lovely ladies.  I expressed to them how proud I am to be a part of their amazing website…these ladies are so driven and so much fun!

Ryan and I had an amazingly fun wrap-up to our WPPI Extravaganza…Pictage hosted a party for all it’s partners at Studio 54.  They had a Photobooth upstairs and of course Ryan and I had to take our photos…three times .

Yea!!!! I just (literally seconds ago) received the email from The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association congratulating me on my acceptance.  This is such an honor!

A note for Brides: It is very important to ask your potential wedding photographers which associations they hold memberships to. I am a proud member of WPJA, WPPI, Photographik, and [AG]WPJA.  Also, I love that I belong to great networks of fellow wedding photographers such as Pictage & Mile High Photographers

These Associations require an application and have a membership fee.  Therein, not just anyone can be a part of their reputable association.  Only the best of the best ;)   I’m just so excited right now!! Woo Hoo!!!
