Brand new teeny tiny baby Everett and his twin sister Emmy came into our world only six short weeks ago. When I last photographed their older sister Harper I heard the great news that twins would join her family soon! What a treat it was to get to hold and snuggle with these two little bundles of love.

Thank you Everett, Emmy, Harper and Jill – I’m so excited to continue photographing your beautiful family!

One Year Old Twins Dean & Reed!

9 months ago I had the amazing pleasure of meeting Dean & Reed for the first time for their 3 month old portraits. And now that these darling twins have turned one it was again my amazing pleasure to capture some more fun portraits – cake smash and all!

Thank you Ella & Merrill for coming back and sharing the fun of twin boys with me this afternoon – I treasure all the giggles, squirmy legs and “Squeak-ems!”

New Beautiful Album Options

While I was at WPPI this past February I met the lovely ladies who handmake the gorgeous albums and boxes. I just received my two studio samples today and I can’t wait to share them with all my 2012 brides & boudoir ladies!

- The golden silk box with the custom crafted album holds 20 4×6″ prints and comes in a number of different color options.

- The ruby red silk box holds 10 5×7″ prints mounted to archival museum board.

Both options are classy and elegant ways to display your portraits! I’m so proud to have them featured in my studio. Thank you Ginkgo!

Mike & Mallory are Engaged!

We met up on the morning of St. Patrick’s day (remember how gorgeous it was outside) and started our day off right with a home made mimosa at my studio. These two sweet little love birds feel like old friends to me – our shoot was more like us just hanging out while I had my camera in hand. We had a full morning of shooting – they were adventurous with me and trudged around beat up land surrounding the old warehouses north of my studio. I LOVE the contrast between the grungy background and their classic dressed up look.

Thank you M&M for such a fun few hours! I’m really looking forward to being with you all on your wedding day!

Little Lady Adela

It’s hard to believe that Adela is already one and a half years old – seriously? I remember having her 1 month old eyes gazing at my camera (well in that general direction at least) and having to prop her up with pillows because she couldn’t hold her head up. Oh me oh my…

Well I tell you one thing, she’s definitely does not need any pillows to prop her up now…she runs around and giggles without a care in the world. And she discovered a really cool noise maker during our shoot, the big white paper backdrop we used makes a sensational drum.

Thank you Adela for spicing up our chilly morning shoot – can’t wait to capture all the wonderful years to come!

Roisin at 9 months

Her mom and I have been emailing for a few months now trying to figure the perfect time to capture sweet little Roisin…well, we did it! It was the perfect time! Her bright blue eyes sparkled in front of my camera and she cooed angelic noises at me during the entire shoot. She is one happy little gal.

Thank you Roisin for letting me hold this moment in time for you – let’s have fun again at your next shoot!

It was a strip down to a diaper kind of session – Miss Audrey was most comfortable this way. She was a shining jewel in front of my camera and I loved following her around to capture a shot of her brilliant brown eyes. In all truth, she spent the better part of our time together avoiding my lens… but even though we had some tearful moments I think this collection of portraits displays one year old Audrey’s girly personality.

Thank you Audrey for brightening my morning during our session and for creating art with me!

Anders still has his tooth

I got a phone call from Anders’s mom just two days before we decided to schedule our shoot. She told me the whole story how her little 3 year old guy busted his front tooth while playing and that in just a few days he will have surgery to remove the tooth. Knowing that she wanted to have family portraits in the spring she decided to capture some fun portraits of Anders while he still had a full smile.

While his mom and I were chatting on the phone I discovered that Anders is a huge fan of trains – well hello! There are REAL LIFE old train tracks in my backyard! Anders knew this before he came to my studio and guess what the first words out of his mouth were? “Can we go in your backyard?” All the while holding his two favorite toy trains.

Thank you Anders for smiling for me and my camera – your mom will will treasure these shots of your big tooth-full smile. I’m looking forward to family portraits in the spring!

Infant Quinn

About two weeks ago I woke up to a text message from my college roommate. “Quinn arrived this morning!!” What a delightful way to wake up – knowing that a sweet little boy has come into this world and is part of such an amazing family…and that I get to take his portraits! I was so excited to meet 10 day old Quinn. The studio was super warm so he would be cozy while he posed without his teeny little onesie in front of my camera.

Thank you Quinn for being such an angel during our shoot & thank you to your loving family for sharing you with me that morning!

Sweet Little Harper

“Can you keep these portraits a secret until after Christmas?” Every time I get anxious to share these loving & laughable photos from last fall, I remind myself of this simple question that Meridith asked me. The photos of these beautiful ladies are for Gary (Meridith’s husband, Fiona & Harper’s dad) and from what I can tell via Facebook, the gift was a hit!

Meridith, Fiona and baby Harper brought over bagels and coffee last October so we could capture some portraits of the newest addition to their family. Meridith is a super excited Mommy to sweet Harper and just officially found out that her adoption is finalized!

I snagged as much cuddletime as I could with Harper and all her cushy rolls of chubbiness…I can’t tell you how many times I had to set my camera aside just so I could giggle with her during our shoot.

I’m bubbling over with happiness for Mer, Fiona, Harper & Gary – congrats to your fabulous new family! I feel so lucky that I get to continue watch you all grow! xoxo
