Baby Arden has arrived!

For the 3 weeks prior to Arden’s birth I was anxiously awaiting any phone call saying “She’s going into labor…it’s time for you to come over”.  I was incredibly honored that I had been invited by Arden’s family to photograph her birth.

On the morning of May 18th I received a cool, calm & collected phone call from her Dad saying “we think it’s time, this would be a good time for you to head over”  I sprung out of bed, grabbed my camera bag and cruised up to their home.  The birthing pool was set up and mom-to-be was patiently wading in the water while taking deep breaths.  Arden’s birth was quick and actually quite calm (all to my surprise).

Thank you Arden & family for having me at this miraculous event – my life has been changed forever.  I’m so grateful to be a part of your lives!  xoxo

6 Months Portraits: Luna Rae

…or Luna Bug as I called her all during our shoot.  This little sweetheart was completely content during our entire time together.  I felt a genuine connection with this angel – I’m sure it comes from the fabulous friendship I have with her Mommy.  Maree & Matt brought Luna Rae into our world 6 months ago and I’m so excited to see this loving family grow together.

Thank you Maree & Matt for sharing an afternoon with your Luna Bug.  xoxo

Impromptu Night Photos: In Love…

After some sushi last night I asked Clark & Carolyn if they were game for shooting around downtown for a bit.  It was the tail end of dusk and I wanted to try my hand at some On-The-Fly Night Photography.  So I pumped up my ISO and opened my aperture all the way (2500 & 1.4 for all you photo geeks like me).  What you see here is what happened…

Thank you Clark & Caro for quenching my photography craving – the love you two share shined so bright among those city lights.  xxoo

Family Portraits: The Simons & Pellersels

I grew up with Lisa.  She would come to Colorado during the summers to spend time with her Dad.  Who is my Dad’s cousin.  So that makes me & Lisa…second cousins???  I never knew what to call her.  She’s definitely a wonderful friend along with all of the familial titles like cousin…or second cousin…or second cousin once removed…

Since I last saw Lisa she has become a mommy – twice!  So when she sent me a Facebook message saying she was coming to Colorado for Easter and wanted to have me over I was overjoyed!  I brought my camera with me to capture her beautiful children playing on Easter.

I had such a fun and relaxed time with everyone – Thank you Lisa for making this happen:)
